i showed my roomate the ATOT forums and he wants to make an account now. problem is when he tried to create one it said he was restricted from posting/editing a post.
the error didn't really make sense, then i remembered you can't have 2 accounts per person, so is it checking the IP and matching it with my own, and thinking i'm trying to make another account? we're using an SMC Barricade router to split the Pacbell DSL line, it's the only thing i could think of. not like we're on AOL or anything.
is there anyway my roomate can get an account at all then?
There are only a couple of ways he would get that message when trying to register. One is if he tried to use an e-mail address that is on the ban list. The other way would be if your IP address was blocked, but then you would also not be able to post.
