Creating a genotype generator

I am a senior in HS and have just recently started taking a few computer science classes. Well, I came up with the bright idea of creating a genotype generator that gives possible genotypes of the cross when two 6-allele genotypes are entered. I can only use VB, and I want to make it a great working program. How hard will it be? Is it even doable? Thanks!
