Creating a .Fla file from a .Swf file in Flash Mx

i have a .swf file that my friend made and i want to see how it was made and he doesnt have the .fla file anymore, is there anyway i can create a .fla from the .swf?

I'm not positive about this, but I don't think it's possible. If you're familiar with Photoshop at all, I think it's like changing a photoshop edited file(.psd) to a .jpg or .gif. It's virtually impossible to change the .jpg back to the .psd file and retain all the layers that were already there because it takes all that information and just gets rid of it. Good luck on this and I would love to know if this is possible or not.

Yes, this is the ONLY thing possible. You cannot create a FLA from a published SWF.
