Creating a "Default Profile" in Lion?

Thank you all who answered my questions about imaging our lab, but now I am wondering how to create a default profile for the image that we will be using. There are many simple customization settings that I would like for our students to have when they first log in to the computer, such as accepting EULAs, etc... and in Windows, I just made a default profile which was basically the profile that everyone who logged into that computer would receive.

Is there an easy way to do this on Lion?

Also, we use a proxy server that relies on AD authentication, and that proxy server information needs to be entered into the Safari preferences before anyone can surf the internet. That part isn't a problem, but it is an annoyance that everyone will have to enter their active directory credentials and store them in the keychain at least once. Is there any way to use their "login" credentials so that they can just log in and surf? Would it help if we downloaded IE for Mac?

Thanks!

IE for Mac should have been EoL'd many, many moons ago. It was first introduced about 10 something years ago, and is basically IE 5 if I recall correctly. Even if you could find IE for Mac, and it actually installed, you shouldn't use it.

I don't have anything else for you past that, i have never administered a network.
