create partition after xp install

I just installed a fresh copy of xp on a laptop and I now realized that I'd like to create another partition off of the hard drive (a 60gig for OS and 200gig for files) what would be the best/free way to do this?

Did you commit all the space to the C drive or did you leave empty space?

Yes the entire hd is in that partition but only used about 12gigs out of the 260g.

Everybody seems to like GParted. I've never used it, but it looks just fine.
