hello,

heres a very newbie question.
how do i create a shortcut on my desktop to a file.
im running Linux Mandrake 8.1 using KDE

the file is a spreadsheet file.
its lcation is. home/andrew/docs/kspred/flyers02.ksp
its a file containing nhl scores.

this is so newbie.
maybe im missing something really simple..but i have tried and keep getting error messages saying the file is not an executable. i know its not but im stuck..

please help out a newbie.
