It's a shame, with the bad economy I bet they weren't making a profit.
Another one bites the dust.

Yeah, sad, I bought from them several times in the past including Scythe Quiet Enclosures because at the time they were the only place that had them. They had good prices and quick shipping, never had a problem.

Sad, but it's kind of timely because I need a new fan controller and a couple of fans.

For someone looking to score a bunch of Scythe fans, this would be good opportunity to swoop in and grab some for a low price:

http://www.crazypc.com/products/fans/120mmfans.htm

Scythe S-Flex/Kama Flow/Kama Flex fans with the fluid dynamic bearings are about $10 each, although shipping is significant. They don't have the all-purpose 1200rpm fans, but they do have 800rpm, 1000rpm, and 1600rpm, in addition to ultra-high rpm fans.

Edit: Great deal on Gentle Typhoon too (!): http://www.crazypc.com/products/gentle-typhoon-58479L.html

Ah, yeah, too bad. They were located really close to a friend of mine's house, so I stopped by there once years ago. Good people, good customer service. Sorry to hear they're going out of business.

Only thing I saw that seemed a decent price was the Scythe Ninja 3 (updated version supporting socket 1155/1156, comes with fan) for $35. I'll pass for now.

I wonder if the domain/site will be bought out like Xoxide was?

The shipping seems a bit high...I was going to pick up a 3.0 usb card for 10 bucks but 7.50 to ship it?

picked up 2 MCP355's for $51 each, and another Lamptron FC5-V2 for $45.

Not white hot, but a good deal. Shipping was I think $12 for all 3 together.

Still way cheaper than elsewhere.

That's pretty standard shipping for UPS or Fedex, up to a certain weight. Not going to find cheaper shipping, unless they offer USPS priority mail, and even that is going to be minimum ~$5.

Is it me, or didn't they have a going out of business sale before?
EDIT: Yep, they were going out of business multiple times over the last few years...a quick Google confirmed it.

You are right marv...but they could at least offer a 4 or 5 dollar option on something that light. Alot of people ordering from them are only goign to be being one or two case fans or soemthing small. Heck forget priority, usb 3.0 cards are tiny. You could ship one first class in a bubble mailer. It would cost any old regular guy about a buck 50...should be even cheaper for a business. Oh well guess I"m just cheap :p
I have gotten spoiled on ordering huge boxes of things from amazon.com with free shipping

p.s. just went and looked and shipping on one keyboard is 12 or 13 bucks for ground...I still call ripoff
