Crazy water slide

I thought is was a fake at first but right before the guy hits the water he goes into a cannon ball.

I saw a show on MTV2 called something Circus, it was white people doing crazy shit like this. As fake as this looks, it could be real, some people are nutts and love to risk their lives to do a "cool" stunt.

I imagine they would hit the bottom of that pool and severely injure themselves if it was real.

that looks pretty cool. idk how they could fake it.

with some careful calculations, i dont see it being impossible, just as how human cannon balls work

I don't think that pool would hold up that well either.

my guess is fake with how they made sure to zoom in and capture the "celebration"

Why does that make you think fake?

There are no cuts on the camera shot. A giant sign screaming fake would be if there was a cut right before the celebration.

It seems to awesome to be real, but if it's fake they did a great job. I just scrubbed over it frame by frame in Vegas and there there wasn't a single frame that jumped out as different. It could still easily be fake, but if it is. But if it is, somebody spent a lot of time. Or my scrubbing skills suck lol I dunno.

Careful calculations, or else just a bunch of willing participants, each one thinking they are the first one to go down the slide, and that the "red water," visible only from afar, is just Jello.

Really? There's no place where the slider is not visible to the viewer? What about that huge area at the bottom of the slide?

*shrug* I never know any more - some people are pretty crazy, but more people are skilled at video editing.

Shens... but THIS is definitely hot.

Me feelz dumm... *twitch* I feel dumber for having watched that :frown:
But it uses dynamic inertia! DYNAMIC INERTIA!!!!
How could it possibly not work??

Oh well, time to relax in my comfortable bed. It uses Static Momentum Stillness® technology.

Come on people.

A 1 degree change in exit angle and he'd miss the pool. A 2 mph change in exit speed and he'd miss the pool. The exit ramp looks like it goes back up 30% of what the down ramp is which would reduce his speed by a third. To go that far you'd have to be going very fast (80-100 mph?), free fall out of a plane is only 120-180 mph.

Real or fake?

Ever watch X-Games? they risk their lives doing stunts where the slightest error can result in them dying. I'm not saying this is real or fake, I dunno which it is. But your reasoning for fake doesn't really add up. I've seen people attempt shit that was as crazy without any preparation. Watching the link somebody else posted, if it's real they put some work into figuring it out.

Wow, the physics behind this are so wrong, but that was pretty cool regardless, and well made.

IRL think what would happen is he would almost make it to the end of the jump, but not enough to fall off. It looks almost as high as the start but think it's a tad lower.

Also, lets say it was real, landing in that small pool would be like just landing right on the ground, given the speed. 😱
