Crazy video shot in my backyard last night

High impedance line to line fault on your feeder. Whatever was happening, the current was low enough to not blow the fuse or there was a recloser that refused to lock out. I'm betting the former. Unfortunately, for the utility to stop that arcing, they probably have to trip the entire neighborhood (>10 blocks) off and send a crew out to isolate your street.

Potted, we live in Arlington.

Chance on pics of wife = not happening. Too hot for you guys.

Good news was Oncor was there within an hour although power didn't come back on until 5 hours after this happened.

Woah that's crazy. Is the ark actually causing fire from mid air? Or is there something there burning? It's almost like the oxygen around it is actually burning. Crazy stuff. A fire hose should take care of that. 😛 Actually how do they even put fires like that out?

Was a hell of a storm last night and today, ~8" dumped in 19 hours. Thankfully we never lost power, and didn't have to be at work early. 🙂
