Crazy problem: NB fan went out ?!?!?

the NB fan went out on my ic7 max-3
my system started acting crazy then gave me a BSOD

so i replaced the NB fan with another fan and now programs just crash for no apparent reason
things like msconfig, MS service pack 1a, and regedit

do you think my NB fried ?

get a better NB HSF 😛 😉 🙂
thermaltake, swiftech, and microtech, make good ones.
remove your OC til you get it fixed up.

at least it didnt fall off 😉

Wouldn't your computer basically not function? 😕 😉 Sounds like it's just getting too hot.. Get a heatsink from Swiftech, Zalman, or some of the others THUGS recommended 🙂

4 programs seem to crash on me now everytime i run them (even at default clock speeds)
norton antivirus, msconfig, regedit, microsoft service pack installer

maybe something just got corrupted because i was disabling filesystem indexing when the fan failed

yeah i think i am just gonna put a water block on it

It's that Prescott sucking so much juice the NB isn't getting enough 😛.

i guess it just corrupted some windows files when the NB overheated
because i am fully stable in every other program

guess i need a reinstall
