Crazy optical mouse

Every now and then, especially when playing Warcraft 3 the mouse goes crazy and moves to a corner of the screen and stays there. Its a little hard to regain control of it again. Any reason for this?

Any way to avoid this in future?

no its a samsung. well i beat it into submission and broke it. so i've ordered a logitech mx300 or something.
