type "bush hid the facts" in notepad (no quotes) and save it...when you close it and open it back up it displays random characters

anyone have any ideas why this happens, lol
 
Nope! Neither one does anything in my XP Pro system. Could it be related to what fonts or text settings used in Notepad? My Notepad is set to use Verdana, 12 pt.
 
thats odd corkyg...every xp machine i have tried it on, it worked that same way

my notepad is using Lucida Console 20 pt. currently...i rarely use notepad and can't even remember why its set this way, lol
 
Sorry - I guess it is because for years I have been using Notepad+ to replace the stock Notepad.in 98 and XP, . . . and also Vista. I forgot - you can't select fonts and stuff in stock notepad. 🙂
