But, I guess for now, this is good enough.

I've always preferred Logitech mice over Microsoft mice. Microsoft's ergonomic mice aren't exactly the most comfortable of mice...:(

WOW 45 bucks for the MX500. I pre-ordered it. I have a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. The 8 buttons are just too tempting. I MUST HAVE IT :D

Did you know that the Latin word for left is the same as the Latin word for Evil?.....

I always felt the same way until I tried the Microsoft Cordless Optical mouse (whatever it is called?). I love the ergos on that mouse. Actually, the new MX500 sort of feels like the Microsoft mouse. Much more so than the Mouseman did.

I just saw the MX500 at Office Depot of all places. I wondered what the heck it was. All the Cordless Optical Mouseman mice were off the shelf and the MX500 was in its place.

Heh, I wonder how long the silver paint on the logo's gonna last...

my only gripe with the line, i'd rather have a lighted logo like my ifeel:(

cordless 140~hz refresh is sweet though. my cordless is a pos.

I bought the original MS Intellimouse Explorer cause it got so many great reviews. Hated it... lived with it for almost 2 yrs until it the optical sensor died 3 months ago. I sent it back to MS and they mailed me a Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 as a replacment. Hate it less... if I had to do it all over again, I would have gotten a Logitech. I've used them at my friend's places, work, etc... I don't know who designs the ergonomics for MS' mouses, but they're crap. My brother has the new MS Blue wireless mouse (gee, where did the get the inspiration for the color blue???) and it's decent ergo and all, but whenever I type on my Logitech wireless keyboard, his mouse stops working... it's hilarious. :)

Call me bias, call me a jerk. Call me a biased jerk, but Microsoft mice suck horribly. Why some people prefer them I just won't ever understand. Several of friends I used to LAN with had an Intellimouse Explorer. Every single one of their mice died within 6 months after they had them. Pretty sad if you ask me, not to mention the ergonomic feel can't touch the Blue Optical Logitech mouse.

I'll agree that the Dual Optical mouse's shape is nowhere nearly as good as the blue optical, but I prefer it over MS's new Intellimouse shape, which strangely (lol) resembles the Logitech blue optical design.

I'm curious to see what Microsoft will release to conter this mouse, if they're going to even bother trying.

As for the Blue Optical, the day mine dies (knocks on wood) will be a very sad day, and I second whoever said that a good mouse is worth every penny. It really is, I paid $50 for my Blue Optical and I could not be anymore satisfied.

Yeah,
I got a optical blue mouseman on my 2nd rig.
but I use a logitech dual optical on my gaming rig.
the shape sucks but it is a better mouse.

If this new mouse feels like the blue optical and plays like the dual optical, I will have to get one.
