Sweet mouse... Although I really wish they'd have kept the thumb button from the elder versions. Having the thumb button(s) above the thumb makes it impossible (for me at least) to moving the mouse precisely while pressing the button(s). I wish they'd at least have one button below and one above the thumb.

Got my Dual Optical for 10 bux after $20 coupon and $20 MIR :D

How can you click when there's no clicker?!?! I guess it's more like tapping now.

I have the MX700, it`s a great mouse. You just have to remember to put it in the cradel at least every other day.

Exactly. I remember buying a left-handed version of a Logitech mouse about 11 years ago but then they somehow stopped to make lefty versions of ergonomical mice. :( I would even pay a little more.

It clicks just like any other mouse. Played with it tonight at Best Buy. They had the MX700 and MX300. I'm going to pick up the MX500 when available.

I have a Dual Optical and a Cordless optical (desktop) on my sys ATM. I paid $35 for the cordless optical desktop and $19.99 for the DO. This mouse looks interesting but, I will try one when I can get it for les than $20 :D

All these extra mouse buttons WOULD be great, once I got used to them, for games. Except, most games won't recognize 8 freakin' buttons. One day, they will (hopefully soon), and then I'll be happy.

for those of you who have used the mx700, how does the weight/size/feel compare to the wireless optical...that is what i use now. i haven't had a chance to go to the store to test out the new one. Thanks for the info.
and i think it being rechargeable is a great idea, especially with NiMh batteries. it's just like cell phones, pdas, etc. :)

Another vote for the BLUE OPTICAL MOUSEMAN! I got one about 2 to 3 years ago and i'm still loving it!! THe problem is that the bottom glide stuff are falling offf... *sigh* anyone know where I can get replacement glide stuff? (cheap of course)

I am really looking forward to getting a MX 500. Too bad I just recently picked up a dual optical from logitech. I love the original mouseman shape so much more than the dual opt. The MX line looks great since they are going back to the original shape more or less. Still the Dual opt. has awesome tracking. It sounds like the new MX engine works great as well. I wouldn't mind paying $50 for a good mouse. You use it everyday all the time. Keyboard, Mouse and Monitor 3 things you don't want to go cheap on.

Very nice. Maybe I'm a dinosaur but I like my trackman marble wheel. That marble is the s**t!

If you think this mouse is cool, just wait for the next wave of Microsoft mouses they got coming in a few months.

But, I guess for now, this is good enough.

I'm using the MX700 right now but I think it's going to get returned. I just can't justify spending $80 on a mouse when I've got a perfectly good Intellimouse Explorer that isn't doing anything. There are a couple of advantages to it such as not having to worry about any cord tension and the resolution is a ton better than my Intellimouse. I just don't think it's worth it. I may end up with one when prices come down but it's just too expensive right now.

Another big bump for those optical blue mousemans ... its the best shape logitech's ever made for us big handed people (sorry lefties). It'd be nice to see it with more buttons, wireless, and dual optical but retain the same good ol' shape.
