In Denver, Office Depot shows no sign of going out of business - there were even help wanted signs for several positions. Nothing really one sale either. Besides several rows of suspiciously barren shelves, they don't look like they are closing any time soon.

Anand Lal Shimpi is his name.

I found the linksys 10 port hub for 29.88.

Being a cheapskate is not limited to Indians.

The only race that I know of, that would LOVE to look down on their own people are INDIANS.

I am an Indian too and strongly beg to differ with what Wassup has to say. I hope it is ignorance. Unlike US, India is multi cultural, multi ritual and multi lingual. People from one community differ greatly from the other.

Some communities in India are known to be tight fisted with money and many such people do business in US. Did you know that it was these people who brought the price of hotel stay to sub $30? Yes, I know these hotels suck. But did they not contribute in someway to the US?

Just because a few of them are stingy doesn't mean all Indians are stingy. I hope you will withdraw your comment.

Wow :disgust: All these comments about Indians.....

I'll paraphrase ..... " I have a dream... etc etc"
I wonder what Martin Luther King would think about this type of thinking.
wassup...come on... I can't believe you are Indian...

Racist remarks are really uncalled for.
Brain matter tends to be grey (or thereabouts) so lay off the Racist
comments please.

Business is business.. no one is entitled to get a good deal from any

business. If you don't like the fact that they don't have cheap prices,

at that particular store, then don't go there..

Perhaps we need a special thread called

~~~~ Racist comments - No analytical or thinking skills required ~~~~~~
;)
Racial differences are bullshit.
Cultural differences are real, passed on through generations often, and powerful. But they can also change quickly.
Stereotypical understandings about cultural differences are usually mostly wrong. But that doesn't mean that there aren/t extremely important cultural differences.
We (not just the US, but the whole world) used to have very ethnocentric (my group is best) views of racial/ethnic differences. The world also used to think that all ethnic differences were innate. (The truth is that they are all cultrual, and learned, but still of "inherited" quality, in a sense, by the teachings of parents to young children.)
Now the US and Europe have an excessively PC official view, at least, that there are no differences, other than utterly superficial and unimportant ones, between different ethnic / racial groups. That is also absurd. The cultural differences between different human groups can be very important, and under usual conditions, very durable. (They don't have to be durable, but they usually are, in most societies.)
Response to intellectually limited PC ranting. True racism is of course much worse.
Found the 10 port in Calif.. They only had one left. The manager was cool. It rang up at the $29 price.. and I just told him that I found out on the web..... at one of the sites I frequent.. that the price is supposed to be $14. He just glanced at my printout of THIS thread.... and told the cashier... "sure... go ahead and give it to him for the $14"...!!! Very cool.
Now... this is only 10mbps... and I was wondering if I am going to be sorry I didn't get a hub that is 100mbps!?
Thanks for the great deal!
Just a little note the clearence isnt with stores who are closing its everywhere! Corp. does controll the prices and if the reason why some stores arent on clearence is because they sell them the stores that are on clearence is beacuse they dont sell enough of them! Also in addition to closing 70+ stores in the US and France they are also cutting thier merch. by 10%. So this is also another reason why alot of stuff is going on clearence!
ube, you need to spell check.
