Considering how much americans waste and toss out everyday....I'd say you can live pretty darn well if you know where to look for freebies!

yes but the question is how do you suppose to know where to look for freebies and how do you know say freebies won't make you sick ?

common urban knowledge.

as far as getting sick, trial and error I guess.

possible? easily.

enjoyable? doubtful.

How do you know its possible though?

homeless shelters, soup kitchens, and free clinics.

Well lets say your not near any of those or they don't exist? Then is it possible?

I don't really see why not.

but most urban areas have homeless shelters, places where homeless people can get free hot meals, and free clinics.

The thing I don't get is why do they offer homeless people free stuff ? Why is there no limits? How do they know someone isn't faking to be homeless just to get free stuff? It makes no sense. Plus who pays for all of that?

because it's what Jesus would do?

I volunteered at a Christian soup kitchen all through high school. The money to keep the lights on came from donations, the food was donated by local companies (dented cans, products nearing their expiration date, etc), and everyone working there was either part of the church (priests/nuns) or volunteers like me.

at least at the place where I worked, we wouldn't turn anyone away. WWJD.

they're not really places that someone would do by choice. homeless shelters can be scary places, and the service given at a free clinic is nothing compared with what you'd be getting by going to a private doctor.

what would jesus do.

at a homeless shelter, you're basically locked in for the night on a cot with a bunch of other homeless people, many of whom (statistically, at least) will be crazy and potentially violent.

That makes no sense of why they lock you in. Why do they do that?

Eric Rudolph did it.

Bomber of the AtlantaOlympic Park, an abortion clinic, gay bar and other terrorist bombings. Long the object of a global manhunt, Rudolph is a trained survivalist who completely vanished into Carolina forests ...

This was the basis of a TV show in Japan, they put a guy in an apartment and I think he had to live off free offers and contest winnings and such (Hot Deals forum would own for this)... iirc it was slow starting out, but he did better as time passed. At one point he hit paydirt & won a 50 lb. bag of rice.

How is that possible?

No money = no pc, no power, and no internet.

I don't get it?

Get a subscription to ?better crates & boxes? magazine.

Very helpful tips for the homeless. Plus, after you finish reading it, you can use it to line your coat for extra insulation,

I met this girl in italy that was from denmark. She said that people there become beggers just to do it. Because if you know anything about denmark they ahve a pretty good life guaranteed for them so being homeless is completely voluntary.
