Have you ever thought if this kind of challenge was possible? Being able to live but without any money at all without doing anything illegal. So no stealing. You may have money but you can't use it.

Do you think this would be possible?

I know it sounds crazy and dumb.
 
This was the basis of a TV show in Japan, they put a guy in an apartment and I think he had to live off free offers and contest winnings and such (Hot Deals forum would own for this)... iirc it was slow starting out, but he did better as time passed. At one point he hit paydirt & won a 50 lb. bag of rice.

How is it possible? I don't get it.

How can you say it can't be enjoyable or not/ I mean everyone likes living a different lifestyle. To some people being rich is just being with their family. EVeryone has different standards. Can't you do a lot of enjoyable things for free?

Dumpster dive for food, clothing, furniture, electronics and then find a clean dumpster to put everything in and live like a king for free.

There no guarantee of that. So it doesn't mean you will. Plus how do you know you won't get sick? I bet people do all the time.

WTF? What is this guarantee you speak of? There are no guarantees in life. You might be successful or a complete failure. You may be healthy or sickly. You might die in your sleep tonight.

I would live on street, use restrooms in fast-food joints to get water, and basically scavenge for food in dumpsters. We live in a wasteful society, there's plenty to find.

Yes but isn't it illegal to use fast food joints to drink water out of instead of just going to the bathroom and wash yout hands and illegal to dumpster dive?

The thing I don't get is why do they offer homeless people free stuff ? Why is there no limits? How do they know someone isn't faking to be homeless just to get free stuff? It makes no sense. Plus who pays for all of that?

because it's what Jesus would do?

I volunteered at a Christian soup kitchen all through high school. The money to keep the lights on came from donations, the food was donated by local companies (dented cans, products nearing their expiration date, etc), and everyone working there was either part of the church (priests/nuns) or volunteers like me.

Ok so basically you're somewhere with no food, no water, and no communication... at that point even a millionaire would starve to death. You gotta make some boundaries to the game. otherwise you could just say, "Allright let's strand someone in the middle of the sahara with absolutely nothing..." that's just plain stupid.

if you're talking about city life, then there's really no problem with drinking water from a bathroom. At worst it'll get you kicked out of said joint. The rest of the stuff well... you're gonna have to suck up pride and live like the homeless.
 
Considering how much americans waste and toss out everyday....I'd say you can live pretty darn well if you know where to look for freebies!

yes but the question is how do you suppose to know where to look for freebies and how do you know say freebies won't make you sick ?
