[CRAZY HOT!] Weekend Deal! Codemasters Racing Pack on STEAM - $17.50

$17.50 is hot for this combo.

Dirt 1 and 2 are by far my most favorite racing games. At the very least get DiRT for $2.50. This is a steal.

I just saw this. GRiD is very good as well.

Indeed it is. I could've enjoyed it more, but I didn't really give it a chance.

The only game is this pack that is meh is FUEL. It lacks atmosphere and purpose. If you like arcade racers and open areas it's pretty good. Otherwise you probably wont touch it.

I should have bought this instead of boarderlands. I'm not a HEAVY Racer gamer. But I'd think you would need a wheel to take advantage of these games? I dunno playing them on a keyboard is kinda gay I would think.

Lulz. Racing games on a keyboard suck. I recommend at least a Logitech dual action with these games. Preferably, an Xbox 360 wired controller.

Does Grid still have the car setup bug? I had a ton of hours in the game when my cars settings got corrupted through a known bug when you go adjust the suspension settings

I stopped playing hoping they'd come out with a fix..

I can't remember if it was DiRT or GRID..but I played one of them and could barely keep the car on the road. I love GTR2, though...so I'm not sure what the issue was..

Great deal, but I played almost every one of these games and controls are horrible. It's virtually impossible to have descent control of your car without a $100+ Racing wheel+pedals+stick shifter so if you don't have these, or what's more important, "space" for these in your room/on your table, don't waste your money on these games. You WILL regret it. I know I did.

I can however justify buying the pack, for "future" playing when one hopefully has the money or the space for a racing setup. It is after all, an awesome price. By that time however, games may be badly outdated. ; )

Oh, and FYI, FUEL got bad reviews, and is a very mediocre game, so it's thrown in the pack just to sell it for something.

EDIT: I'd like to take back what I said about price on racing wheel/pedals looks like prices have fallen drastically from last time I checked. A very nice wheel can be now had at a very low price. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826280012

I still stand by the notion that these games are unplayable with the keyboard though ; ) I see what Tristicus is saying, but I know enough people including myself who tried playing Dirt and Grid on the kb with horrible results to make such statements. Maybe you have a real good kb Trist ; )

Perhaps you just need to learn how to drive. Plenty of people have played these with KB/M and controllers and loved them (the latter for me).

You don't need a wheel, I've played a bunch of games with a nice Logitech joystick and I preferred it to a wheel because I could go from extreme left to extreme right in split seconds yet still have fine precision in smooth curves. And it barely takes up any space on the desk.

When you go into court, you are putting yourself in the hands of 12 people that weren't smart enough to get out of jury duty.

Dude!!! Your sig quote is pure WIN!!! ; ) You have no idea how much I can relate....

You don't need a wheel for these games... in fact it'll probably feel even worse with a wheel, as weird as that sounds.

They all work best with an xbox 360 controller or an equivalent. As long as you have a controller with analogs, you'll be fine.

If I bought just one of these games, which would be most fun/accessible for a driving game newb? Dirt 2? (I have a wired 360 controller that I'd use).
