I talked (via email) nicely with customer rep. That is, I praised
buy.com for their best prices and services and I told them that
I am a loyal customer. (which is the truth by the way). Then, only
then :p;), I told them that I was disappointed, yada...yada...yada.\
Voila, the credited me. (Note: I never explicitly demand a price
match, since I was out of the 72 hours period anyway)

Good job,but I still am not sure what their policy is and if they just made an exception to you. My two e-mails did not praise buy.com. I guess I just need to be nicer.;)

Good luck getting those rebates... kingston has a bad rap for not paying out their rebates. They "Claim" to have no information about the rebate i sent in over a month ago. Punks. I better get my money :|:|

jjs1969 you're making me worry already about my rebate too. But I think you should give it another week or two. Those rebate places can be slow some times.

Kingston doesn't personally handle their rebates (it's the big rebate clearinghouse in AZ who does), but I did want to mention I've had no problem w/ 2 Kingston RAM rebates in the past. Both were roughly 4-6 months ago and arrived in average time: 2 months. YMMV.

I bought some ValueRam from Egghead at the end of the year, and TCA Rebates (New Rochell, NY) is doing the fulfillment - same as this one.

The form was mailed in late December. When I check status at TCArebates.com, it says that the check will be mailed in early March - OVER 10 WEEKS FROM SUBMISSION:Q:(

From my experience, TCA is one of the slowest and pickiest with rebates, but I have ALWAYS received the check.

They track your credit card. You can't just clear your cache & use a different email. They also check delivery address.

superdoopercooper, this has absolutely nothing to do with "cache". If there is any data stored on the client machine, it is in COOKIES. So clear your \Windows\Cookies directory (different for Win 2000 and some other platforms).

The way RAM prices are going, I think I'm just going to wait until they pay me to take it!!!

I agree, be careful with the Kingston Rebates. I had to make numerous emails to get a $25 rebate a few months ago. Took longer than Cyberrebate to get my $25.

The kingston rebate ends 1/31/01, does that mean I have to order by that date, or receive my package by that time, or mail the rebate by 1/31/01? Should I buy another one now (1/30/01)?

The rebate also restricts to only one per person, don't if it's per address, or else I can get 2 of those rebates for 2 pieces of ram with 2 accounts.

FYI for everyone. I received my memory today. Box/website say CL3 of course. I have it running at CL2 though. Not sure if my mobo is messed up, or that the memory is better than stated. This could be this way because certain chips are better than others. So I guess take advantage if you want, only if you feel comfortable with the rebate situation. Hope this helps you guys.

This is the link for ValueRAM Rebate Confirm.
Kingston ValueRAM Rebate Check
You can put your last name & zip to verify your rebate.

I sent mine in early Dec. and IT's NOT IN DB!!
My friend also sent a little bit later, but they listed his address WRONG.
(God. What are they thinking??)

This is not funny. I want my money! What should I do now??
