Although the map results are obvious to most of us here on AT, I work with a bunch of people who have no idea. I may forward this on, but I don't really want to get stuck explaining crap to a bunch of idiots.
 
Someone finally found an excuse to use their degree in cartography it seems!

The clear conclusion to this demonstration is that cartograms were invented by a guy who had eaten too many mushrooms....

Woah, it's obvious that the guy who made the maps isn't politically motivated in doing so, he's just sick of the county-by-county maps in USA Today that dumb it down for everyone.

Republican or Democrat, you've got to agree that this guy's maps are way more accurate (or at least more representative) than any USA Today map.

Why do you think this is politically motivated?
