Last month i buy a sink on ebay with a BIN. Seller emails me that he shipped it on the 11th. Auction says he ships by UPS and his email does not include a tracking number.

UPS implies I get it within 7 business days. 2 1/2 weeks later no sink. I email the seller and no answer. A few days later i file a paypal complaint. Seller sends me hate mail that he gave paypal the info and that I can close my case. Paypal says waiting response from seller.

Two days ago I get my money back from paypal and buy another sink somewhere else. Today I get the original sink. I paid $225 and the idiot seller sent it USPS with no insurance or DC. When I first filed the complaint he said he shipped it via USPS. I asked him to email me the proof and tracking info and he said he sent it to paypal and that's it.

The point of the story. 1) Always use DC and insurance for expensive items. 2) Only send to confirmed paypal addresses. I asked the seller to send to my mom's address. I'm going to send him a check, but if I was dishonest I'd have a free sink. 3) The idiots who say insurance is optional and that they aren't responsible don't know what they are talking about. They can blab all they want and I can file a paypal complaint and a CC chargeback no matter how many times they say they aren't responsible.

if the guy had shipped with a trackable method and the shipping service lost it, it's your problem if you didn't get insurance.

would you say the same thing if newegg lost your new CPU? No you would get your money back no matter who lost it.

maybe the seller should have done a little more to convince me that he didn't rip me off. I pay $225 for something I expect to receive it. Especially if it says free shipping. If I don't receive it then I get my money back.
