If only Sennheiser still made HD-580s mine are getting pretty old. I guess I'll have to jump up to 600s or 650s but the prices never seemed to drop down to what the 580s cost.

using a pair of 201s, great sound in the hi freq range. crip but lack base but that's not a problem for me.

This! The 580s I used for so long died not too long ago. The 280s I'm using now feel neanderthal by comparison.

i'm still kicking myself in the face for not getting a pair of hd580's years ago when amazon was clearing them out for 100-130.
wish i got into head-fi earlier. 🙁

any chance you still have the broken hd580's? i'm looking for a broken pair to experiment and do a driver transplant with. 🙂

Honestly I don't see any "hot" deals here... I was expecting to see some of the earbud headphones around $12 or less since that's how much they cost during one of the previous sales, but there are none below $20.

hd280s are easy to find for $80 online.... great headphones though love my pair, though the padding is starting to wear.
