crazy college basketball bracket- Gonzaga ROBBED!

wow gonzaga got a #6 seed...thats ridiculus!!!!!

what do u guys think over all? I think the West is a damn hard bracket, gonna be hard to pick winners there.

I was just going to post this, Gonzaga got ROBBED.

I teach there, and know some of these guys and Mark Few. They are a great bunch, and rest assured this will just fire them up! I'm not wild about drawing AZ after Wisconsin (assuming we get by them), but at least we're in the West, and we have the easiest #1 draw IMHO.

West bracket looks damn hard. I hope Kentucky wins the east.. Duke shouldnt win this year since they did last:Q

i know thats gonna be a hard game...i am rooting for them just cause they got robbed so badly...

Im upset about UCLA's place, but thats just cause its hard, they deserve it...but getting cincinnati in the 2nd round (if they make it)...ouch

<< wow gonzaga got a #6 seed...thats ridiculus!!!!! >>

Completely aside...do you think they'll beat Zona in the second round?

<< I think the West is a damn hard bracket >>

If any major upsets happen, it's going to be in the West IMO.

Why does the NCAA force some stupid arrangements.

Ohio St. as a #4 seed out West could be in the South and USC as the South's #4 could be in the West.
Xavier as a #7 seed out West could be in the South and Ok. St. as the South's #7 could be in the West.
Central CT. as a #14 seed in the South could be in the East and the East's #14 (Murray St.) could be in the South.

That would make MUCH more sense! Maybe some of the courts are on those team's home floors...is that it?

My horse didn't make the race (UNC) but the new court format was designed to allow schools to play early round games as close to home as possible. Teams below #1 are moved around to avoid conference matchups first then they consider how close they can play to home. So hypothetically if UNC, MD, Duke, Wake Forest, and NC State are seeds 1, 1, 1, 4, and 5 . . . WFU and NCSU would be placed in a region together away from the other #1s, probably West. But early round games might still be played in NC or SC.

that cant be it cause Pitt. plays at home in the 3rd seed of the south...

Gonzaga didn't have a strong SOS or RPI. That being said, they did deserve a higher seed than 6. I was figuring 3 or 4, 5 at the lowest. They have some respect, but not everyone believes in them, I guess. I do think that Arizona/Gonzaga in the 2nd round could be one the best games of the tourney.

UCLA got what they deserved for the inconsistent season. We beat both Kansas and Alabama convincingly (not last second flukes), but then lost to Villanova in a winnable game and to Arizona State at home!?. The team can play, and I wouldn't put it past them to beat Cincy. I also wouldn't put a 1st round loss to Ole Miss out of reach either. I always have 2 brackets. 1 with UCLA winning games they aren't supposed to, and then 1 with them losing early.

The West does look very tough. I think it's gonna be Arizona/Cincy in the West final. With Arizona winning.

Arizona is the top seeded Pac-10 team @ #3 in the West. Can't have too many teams from the same conference in the same bracket. That's why SC is in the South, and Oregon @ #2 is in the Midwest, while Oklahoma is the #2 seed in the West. Also they take into account previous' regular season matchups as well, which sometimes has something to do with it.

its gonna be a tough ride for Cal...i think they are a really good team, but beating Penn in pittsburgh, then probably playing pittsburgh in pittsburgh..ouch

"Ohio St. as a #4 seed out West could be in the South and USC as the South's #4 could be in the West."

The top 3 seeds from each conference have to be in different regions, so OSU can't be in the south with Indiana, and USC can't be in the west with Arizona.

"Xavier as a #7 seed out West could be in the South and Ok. St. as the South's #7 could be in the West."

Same thing, Oka St can't be in the west with Oklahoma.

As an unbiased source, I'd say at least 50-50 that Penn pulls off the upset 😉

LET'S GO QUAKERS!

And why isn't Oregon the top-seeded pac-10 team?
