That was basically me tonight. Called all sorts of stupid hands. I had fun! :D

Me: A2 off (button)
Him: KK

Blinds were 400/800. I raised to 1500. He raises to 3000. I call.

Flop: JJ2

Him: All in! (said it before flop was even dealt, about 8k in chips)
Me: *ponders for a bit.. calls* "You have high pockets."

Him: *flips over KK*
Me: Waits till river.

Turn: 2

River: 3

Me: *turns over card and laughs*
Him: "Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!" *is in disbelief*

Me: $50 richer tonight. :D

---

I admit, last night was 99% luck, as at the end of the night I was playing like most of my friends play, hence the Crazy Azn nickname. I shouldn't have even been in that hand, but hell, I was pot committed. I had him on over cards preflop, but as soon as he said all in and I was thinking, I knew he his hand beat my pair of dueces. I just lucked out. And I'll take it! :p

I was in a tournament the night before at a friend's place. There were 6 of us left and the payout was 4th place. I was low stack, with about 200 chips while everybody had at least 1500. In two hands, I went from low stack to 4th place because these crazy asian guys kept betting with their Ace and crappy card hoping an ace will show up. One guy eventually took out two guys with his A2 offsuit and I was grinning. Chaching!!! :D

Nah, this was at his house. I'm usually a very tight player, but I was getting nowhere so I start to call crap. All in with A9 and I won with high card. I quardupled my chips there, then went and doubled it the hand after next hand. Then my friend took the beatdown.

Usually we play money games at 10 cents a chip and have dealer call the games. I prefer it that way much better because I'm actually having fun calling and making up games and it's cheap enough so that we're all just sh|ttin' around. Good times, good times. :D

Wow that was the worst play I've ever seen on your part. He played the cards right, you just slutted him out.

OP had a full house while his opponent only had a two pair (Kings and J's).

edit: he had Kings and Jacks....

edit 2: upon further reading, OP had a boat haha.

You can if you want...I mean eventually you will flip over your cards, but you dont' necessarily have to do it right at the flop or whenever it was called all in.

Nice suckout, Party-Poker style.

:D

BTW, he dug his own grave by just min-raising you with KK.

With a pot of 7200 and his bet of about 8000, you were definitely correct in calling his all-in on the flop with two pair and an overcard.

The smart play for him would have been to just shove it all in preflop, but people are stupid with good hands like KK. They want to keep people in the hand. He did that and paid the price, literally. :D

OP had trip 2's while his opponent only had a two pair (Kings and 2's).
What are trip 2s?

a n00b's way of saying a set of 2s

Um...trip 2's != a set of 2s.

If you have 2/2 as your hole cards, and on the board is another 2, you have a set.

If you have one 2 in your hand, and on the board are 2 2's, then you have trip 2's.
