crazy audi crash

damn... seeing as they have sheets covering up several spots, with no big bulges, it almost seems like the person might have turned out like the car...

bah, blocked at work.

Idiots need to keep their racing on the track. I drive fast, but theres a fine line between "enjoyable speed" and "reckless stupidity"

i remember this thread, there was a good post in it explaining that the speedometer stuck doesn't mean crap about the speed

yea i was wondering the same thing...
maybe audi figures that crashing at those speeds wouldnt save driver - airbag or not. so why bother deploying the airbag 😛

pictures seem somewhat staged. THe engine's fairly intact, and I can't imagine the force required to rip the engine out like that. Also, why is there an ambulance there, no leaking fluids, and just white sheets lieing on the ground? nobody seems hurried or distraught, just observing.

just my 2 cents.

Wow..what a mess. I'm guessing the driver was/is in more pieces than that car. Speed kills, kids. 😛

Speed kills. Guns kill. Air causes cancer. Water poisons. Living causes death.

It's not speed.. It's stupidity. Loss of control causes death - and high-speed can cause loss of control. But, at the same speed, a better car probably would have not had a problem handling.

It annoys me when people say speed kills because speed is really the only thing that gets punished. Yet, statistics show that more people die because of running stop signs, red lights, DUI's, than speed.. Sadly, people use speed as one big blanket and say it is involved in all wrecks. But, speeding techincally is involved in almost all driving since the average speed of traffic is usually 5-15% faster than the posted speed limit.
