lol, it is (primarily) a search engine. When someone uses google, they have one thing in mind. Why clutter it with shit that will get ignored anyway?

Well it looks like we've stumbled onto an interesting little fact - Apple sycophants seem to be strongly opposed to the Google search UI. What more can we say?
 
I dont know what all of you google-dissers are saying. Their UI's are some of the most intuitive stuff that I have used. Its clean, efficient, runs quick and takes little to no resources to run effectively.

Try saying the same about iTunes that makes my E8400 OCed to 4.0 ghz crawl/crash repeatedly.

Wait, you're comparing a search engine to a program you install? Awesome! If iTunes makes your pc go slow and crash that often you need to get your computer fixed. Not saying iTunes is a shining example of uber programming. But it's never once crashed on my PC and doesn't make my PC, which is much much slower than yours move at a crawl.

Googles back end is what is great, their UI is something a 13 year old could come up with. UI wise ask.com is much better.

One month old install of Win7 with barely anything else installed? k. The only reason I HAVE to use it is my shuffle for the gym, I vastly prefer my ZuneHD for music listening.

Im saying things are relative, I can't stand macOS at all, I vastly prefer windows organization/UI to anything apple can put out. But to fault google for having a plain page is stupid. Its a search company, theres only one thing you want when you come to the page. The search bar, even bing.com seems cluttered in comparison.

Crashes frequently on mine.
 
I've been using iTunes for years and it's never crashed. It may take a few seconds to open, but it doesn't make a difference to my pc's performance when it's running.

Also, the new sidebar on Google is horrible. I'm running an add-on right now that gets rid of it.

If it doesn't crash its idling at like 25% processor usage and like 300 MB RAM usage, ridiculous.

ill grant you that the dock is great but not it has nothing to do with being able to minimize progs to it, TBH thats one of the things i hate the most about using a mac, the dock is amazing shortcut bar (and is the only reason i paid for object dock) the taskbar is infinity superior for managing open programs especially with grouped bars + double height start menu + ultra mon.

and managing what starts when windows starts is pretty damn easy, most programs have an option for "start with windows" and those that don't you right click and drag into the start up folder which is basically 2 clicks

Um. You can group windows in an application in the OS X out of the box.
