Crashing problem w/ Radeon 9800

Alright I posted this in Tech support a while back and got no responses and would appreciate some help.

'Ok, so i just got a 9800 and problems are a happenin'.

3dmark ran fine with a mediocre score ( 5000 ) and i started playing Warcraft well my computer restarts randomly with this card installed whereas with my previous 5600 Ultra i never had any problems. No blue screen no error message just restarts.

I've uninstalled the ATI Control Panel and hope that helps, anyone else have any suggestions?'

Half the time it will just be a hard crash and restart the other half just the application crashes. No other game has crashed except for warcraft III.

the only other game i have played is Call Of Duty though.

I've contacted blizzard tech support and so far all his advice has been was 'uninstall the divx codec it sometimes interferes with WC3'. so i did and it did nothing.

I've also tried some other things people have said elsewhere like uninstall the ATi Control panel and turn off fastwrites etc etc. None of that has worked.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as this is the main game I play and its really pissing me off.

using cats 3.9 tried 3.8 and 3.7 to no avail.
 
in dxdiag make sure agp exceleration is enabled as well as direct draw and direct 3d. If agp is not enabled and grayed out, then you must install the lates motherboard drivers for your system.

They are enabled and i have the latest Nforce drivers.
 
Some other things to do:


System Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery, and uncheck the "Automatically Restart" box. That way you can see the blue screen error, if it happens.

Right click on My Computer, select Manage. Select Event Viewer on the left pane, and choose "System". Look for red "X" errors.

Post back with blue screen codes / event log entries.
 
I have no tried opening up my case and playing with a fan blowing on it.

It doesn't seem like its overheating if i can play other more intensive games and it be fine but i will try this.

I already disabled automatic restart on error and i still get no blue screen it just crashes and restarts.

YHPM, but those stop errors (particularily the 0xD1) seem to indicate a network problem. Pull (or disable) your network card and give it a shot.
