Crashes running dos programs I just compiled

I use MVC++ 5.0 on win98. When I run a simple dos program that I just built it crashes with the errors below. I've tried reinstalling the app but that doesn't work. Don't really want to reinstall Windows if I can help it.

This is one of those funny dumb times. This bug has been hounding me for a long time but after the first message I went I tried to figure it out again. I think I did... Anyway I'm dumb 🙂
