Crappy thing happened today

I got to the post office this morning to ship something that I sold on FS/FT (bunch of old hard drives). Shipping costs came to $9, so I gave the man a twentry and he gave me $14 in change!

It wasn't until I got home that I realized the pocket where I kept the $14 had somehow become empty. It fell out or I got pickpocketed or something.

Sucks that I had to pay $20 for something that only cost $9 to ship 🙁 Just one more piece in an infinite string of frustrating events that have happened over the last 3 months
 
i'll give this one to karma. you thought you were coming out on top and fate bites you in the ass 😉
 
People get shortchanged all the time. Does that make the cashier a thief if he overcharges accidentally? I didn't even realize how much he gave me until I was on my way home.
 
And if you haven't read, I've had a really ****** life for the last 3 months. Karma should have given me the little boost for just this day if anything. I don't deserve this
 
I dunno, but I just don't feel right if I walk out of a store with money that isn't mine. I always tell the cashier if they give me too much money. It helps me sleep at night.

You've got it wrong. Karma doesn't reward you for being an a-hole (I read your rant this morning where you said you had a case of the a-holes), it rewards you for acting with ethics and morality.

Hey, reread what I said! I didn't walk out of the store knowing that I had money that wasn't mine. I was long gone before I checked my change and realized that I had been undercharged (and making the trip back to the post office just so I can lose $5 isn't a very good investment of time)

I call bs. You said in your OP that he gave you $14 in change. Then when you got home, you realized the $14 was gone! How did you know it was $14 if you didn't check? Where exactly did you say that it was some time later that you counted your change?
