have they always been this way, or is it because I disabled uBlock?

Crappy how? The top ad is 2.5 times bigger than it should be 50% of the time for me, forcing the page down when I'm trying to click..

THIS is driving me FREAKING NUTS. Ad loading after the page so as I click whole thing slides down and I click on the wrong thing. Banner adds should be a FIXED size inside a fixed table/cell. I've always left ads showing as I realize this is how free pages make money, but I'm heading towards adblock to stop this stupidity.

Just installed -- so much better. As I said in my previous post, I hate to use it, as I want sites to remain free, but if the sites become too annoying or it shows me they just don't care about the user experience, then sorry... I gotta block.

I love how every thread about ads always winds up with a smartass (and chorus) posting about adblockers.

They are nothing new, and you are not going to wow anyone with your 1337 hax0r skills. Just skip over the thread or take a second to whitelist this domain and experience what the OP is talking about. Quite a few of us even did it in this thread!

Shitty ads are nothing new either. Why create a thread? See ads, or use adblock. A thread isn't necessary aside from just shooting the shit, so if we're doing that, we might as well talk about ad blockers too. That also gives people a chance to talk about the state of the art, which is uBlock. It uses fewer resources which is especially useful for mobile.

yeah. And it's not even about the ad blockers to me, this is how about the new direction the site is taking and its evidence of their management.
