Crap! The picture on my LCD TV is all dark now. Any thoughts besides calling tech support?

Cliffs:

37" Olevia 720p LCD
Roommate unplugged the powerline from the wall while I pressed the power off button.
Moved tv to the other room
Plugged it in

Component inputs are all dark now. (I checked the brightness setting, this is not the problem).

Any thoughts on tricks that I can try?

no, my point was, is that instead of unplugging the tv once it was shut down, my roommate just ripped the plug from the wall instead of waiting. I'm guessing that is what caused the issue.

yeah is it all the inputs on your tv, or just certain ones? if it's all of them , your backlight may have gone out.

I reset everything to the factory settings (eg, brightness levels, color, hue, etc) but that didn't do anything.

As for each input, I have only tried both component inputs (dark), vga (dark), and OTA HD (dark). The regular composite input (yellow cable is fine).

How would I do a factory reset?

well, why don't you move it back to the other room and connect everything the way it was and see if it works there.

Well I don't think the backlight is gone since you are able to get one source working properly. I was thinking of having you go into the service menu but after reading about the service menu for Olevia's sets I don't think its too grand of an idea, you could royally mess up the set. When you say you reset the factory settings did you go into the menu and select the option that said factory reset?

Yep. Just reset the color/hue/contrast etc. I don't think it reset anything else. Should I toy with service menu? How would I do that.
