Crap. Just when I need the AC, it breaks!

I have this Delonghi PAC T140HPEC. It worked great for the first year I had it. I bought it used.

Now that it's getting hotter in Seattle and hovering around 80F in my apartment, I want to turn on the AC. I usually just use the fan on it for background noise and some airflow at night. Works great for that. I unplugged it, moved it over to the window, and hooked it up. Turned it back on and it's not working. I see there is a PF error. I'm like, "The fuck happened in that 10ft of movement!?"

Anyone know what a PF error could be for this? I've taken the thing apart looking for something obvious but I can't see anything obvious.

I was hoping I'd fetch some $$$ for this when I moved too... Fuck!

It stands for sensor/probe failure, apparently. I put it back together. Still same issue. I tried looking all over the AC for some kind of sensor and I couldn't find any. If there is a sensor, it's in one of the covered metal boxes or somewhere not easily accessible. That's my hunch.

Sucks. I might just put this up on craigslist for free. Damn. I was really thinking I'd get my money back on this baby.

My recommendation is to use the A/C as a "FAN" which brings the Air from the outside in during the night time. Pump in cold air @ night so that the place keeps its temp throughout the day.

That's not how the fan mode works on this, as far as I know.

Also, the error completely shuts down the unit.

You may not need to pay for repairs; just go and ask about it and then decide. Some places can tell you where it is located and/or sell you the part needed.

Agree - that PDF has the manual as 130. :$

However, it does not provide indication on where the probe is.

So recommendation from the original post of mine still is that you contact the service center for additional information.
