...why didnt someoen tell me there was pistachio in mortadella?

Since you're the one with the problem, I'd say that responsibility rests with you! Oh wait, I forgot this is the U.S.A., where nobody takes responsibility for themselves.

So your reaction is severe enough to cause breathing problems yet you don't feel the need to get help?

Viper GTS

no - cause i have an epi pen

Did you have to use it? If so, my condolences. Those things are scary looking x 10. Oh and sue them 😛

I have had to use epi pens a few times before, and of course I am not going to sue them, it was my fault 🙂 Better now anyway.... lol, the worst time ever was in amsterdam, I mean I know I have to be aware of things, but listen, I am jewish -- I know that your not supose to put cashews in bagels! Although I have to say that the er in amsterdam was very nice and efficient, and they didn't even make me pay, they actually said "don't worry we will bill america"

Duh. You're supposed to seek medical attention before you have to use the pen.

It's really only intended for use when you can't get help.

Scary. I hope I don't ever develop any severe allergic reacitons.

I dunno, if I found it hard to breathe I'd stick myself with the epinephrine without much of a second thought, I think.

Of course, you're the one with the allergy.. so as long as you feel in control I guess.

Not if you have been through this a number of times before.

From pistachios???

Well, my wife is violently allergic to eggs. I mean if you dropped some egg on her arm it would look like she got burned. And you wouldn't believe how many things have egg in them.

Somehow she never had to use her pen. She was always smart enough to seek medical attention if she had a serious reaction. Fortunately she can pretty much stop the mild reactions with Benedryl.

from nuts, not just pistachios. and i didn't need medical attention cause I had an epi pen really if she perfers to goto the hospital, fine with me boss, i just dont

what is epi pen??
A single use, disposable shot of epinephrine. Epinephrine (adrenaline) is used to stop severe allergic reactions among other things like restart people's hearts.
