I think you'll see Phokus slip further and further as the Republicans are further marginalized. As his party gains more and more control over the federal government, things continue to get worse, and it becomes clear that his party IS in fact just as bad as the other side, he'll totally lose it. He has been blaming conservatives for everything wrong with the universe for so long it's all he has. It used to be that "conservatives" were in power, so it was easy to lay blame at their feet. Now you see him trotting out the excuses about how the two sides aren't the same, and trying to convince everyone that a slight majority in the House is allowing the Republicans to control everything. When even that little bit of political control is gone and the Democrats have carte blanche to do as they please, and the country continues his downward spiral at the hands of people like Obama, you'll see him snap and do something very violent. His tenuous grasp on reality will be forever severed and he'll have nowhere to go but over the deep end.
