Crap Friday 2014

Seen the 2014 ads for Walmart, Best Buy, Sam's Club to name a few, all were absolutely horrendous. Black Friday has gone completely to shit, it's just a marketing gimmick for stores to unload crap they couldn't sell all year long to the same stupid consumer's who think HSN and QVC have great prices on electronics.

Nothing new. Real deals on anything above bottom rung gear are rare. Its been that way for as long as I can remember.

Black Friday feels like it started from us Enthusiasts to now the retards who hears the word "BLACK FRIDAY" to think they'll obtain an unobtainable deal... It's like RV Dealer's saying "RV Show this weekend!!!!"

I have often found great deals on retail box hard drives in brick and mortar stores on Black Friday. Data drives I never order online anymore as I have gotten burned from UPS's shipping of OEM drives.

Oh look, another "this year's Black Friday" sucks comment. Every year. It's come to the point where... if you have nothing good to say, just keep it to yourself. It's really gotten pointless to say it.

I see nothing wrong with what the OP posted. He is entitled to his opinion! If you don't like the thread don't read it. Eh?

it's true people say this every year. i'm sure something good will pop up. last year they had the gold and silver 3ds xl combos for $150?

windows store usually has at least one or two really good dals but it seems like only 10 people can get in. wasn't there a really good deal on the new (at that time) ipad airs? something like $100 off at target but people were pricematching another deal. something like that.

usually on price-fixed stuff like ipads the deal is a gift card rather than money off.

i found a thread and yeah you're right it was $100 target gc. last year they also gave away a 20% off coupon you could use if you were there at a certain time.

Yeah it's looking meh so far. Black November is more of the idea now, especially since everything gets leaked so early.

yeah, gotta agree. Once upon a time, seems like you couldn't swing a dead cat without finding amazing deals on BF. Now, you really gotta hunt, and if you get lucky...

ah well, as I get older I seem to want less anyway.

My wife just purchased some new winter jackets for us. "Why didn't you wait until Black Friday? I saw that they're going to be on sale." "I already looked at the prices. They're actually more expensive on Black Friday." Seems like that's more the case. A LOT more on sale, but not better than regular sales.

By the time you know what the thread's about you've already started reading it. Would be much easier / cleaner to just not post it to start with. Your method works, but for those of us averse to work it'd be nice if people catered to our needs, hah.

The whole point of the crazy loss-leader doorbuster prices on certain items at 6AM was to get you to that retailers store FIRST, and then once you were there you did all of your christmas shopping and they made up the profit on all the other items you bought at higher markup.

When people buy the doorbusters at a loss and then they buy everything else on amazon.com, kinda defeats the purpose of a loss-leader.
