Crap Avatars No Pics?

I really like ATOT forums, but why cant we have custom avatars and why arent we able to post pics?

I am a fairly new(b) member, so i dont know why...

Because it's bloody annoying. Not having that stuff here is one of the best things about the AT forums.

Unfortunately it appears we will be able to do it in vBulletin. 🙁

I prefer no pics since I only post from work. Besides, you're only going to see the same pictures that are posted in every other forum on the intertubes.

1. Animated gif avatars are extremely annoying.

yes its the way to go, this flat thread view is already ridiculously too convenient, one should have to click a link to see each additional post in a thread, all linked in a nice tree structure. the more clicks the better, everyone knows this.

You make a valid point about the silly gifs that would appear, would be nice to post pics though, would help when explaining things, or a good punchline to a joke.
