Nah. I can say that I've done a lot of things in the trade, done a lot of STUPID things in the trade, but nothing quite like that...

(I did break an outrigger one time and dumped the crane...but that's a different story.)

Do you know what the guy in the video was actually trying to achieve? It seems to me like the outcome would have been pretty obvious to him, what was he expecting to happen?

It looked pretty obvious to me. He was trying to knock the building down.

I think it took him by surprise when it went though...and maybe a bit faster than he had anticipated. Definitely looks like it caught the ball and pulled him over before he could let off the brake. If he'd have been a bit quicker with releasing the brake, it SHOULDN'T have pulled him over.

If that were a regular friction rig all he had to do was let off the brake. Bad set of instincts right there.
