I received an e-mail about this sale last night so I thought I'd pass it along. This looks to be a very good deal on a nice basic tool set. They are running around 50 cents per tool which is certainly a good deal. 🙂 If anyone is interested, the sale runs through April 26th, which is tomorrow.

I have a set like this (larger) and I gotta tell you how much I love the laser engraved/printed socket sizes. Instead of those damn tiny little numbers stamped in the side of the sockets, they have a large, "framed negative" of the size that is clearly visible.

Wow - this is a pretty nice set of tools. Here's the list of what all it includes:

http://www.sears.com/download/misc/Parts_34095.pdf

Short version: Standard and Metric 6pt sockets, regular and deep well, 1/4 and 3/8th inch drive. Two ratchets, one extension, screwdriver and bits, allen wrenches, and a spark plug socket.

This would be a great toolbox to toss in the trunk of your car.

this is a great deal for those needing a basic toolset.

i got one better a while back. 122pc stanley toolset, msrp $99 i got three at $17.48ea target clearence. An abosolute steal. Stanley makes nice tools tools too, i've never had one break on me, theyre ratchets have more teeth for smoother operation, and the warranty is great-you just have to mail it in instead of having a store like sears.

I'm taking a hard look at that 155pc set, $50 off at $99.99. 60 extra pieces for $50... can't make up my mind. I guess there are worse problems to have 🙂.

As usual, 35 of the so-called 95 tools are throwaway items... allen wrenches, screwdriver bits, etc.

Years ago, Sears would count a box of cotter pins as "100 tools".
