Ordered a set of both online.

Now I got an e-mail just a few minutes ago saying they are out of stock and have canceled my order.

Nice find, OP... and congrats to those that got in...

How about in-store pick up option?

That was through the in-store pickup option. When I entered my zip code, it pulled up a local Sears that said they were in stock (subject to confirmation e-mail). I placed the order, checked out, and received a confirmation of my order.

A short while later, I received an e-mail from Sears.com stating that the local store really did not have the item in stock and that my order was canceled.

I tried going back and choosing other stores, but everytime I go to check out it says the item is out of stock at that store as well.

If you are wanting both the metric and standard set there are a few other sets with both that are a tad cheaper then buying them separately.

Both those are flat and you have to flip them over to reverse them
12 peice offset with the thumb switch for reversing for $69. I think thats the way to go if you want both.

When I clicked on both of the links the price listed was $39.99 each, so the sale must be over already...

edit:
Just talked to 2 local stores--one was the Sears in the mall which only had the SAE set and would honor $24.95, the other was a Sears Hardware which had both sets but knew nothing about the sale and had theirs listed at $39.95, so I'm having the MOD of the Hardware store check on it and get back to me. Even at $5/wrench these are a good deal and I will jump on it if they will honor a sale price.

Well, shucky-darns!
Come to find out that this was a sears.com error, that is why they sold out so quickly, and it has been corrected. The goof at the Sears mall store quoted me the 24.95 for the flat set, not the offset. Thanks goodness the young lady at the Sears Hardware store took the time to get to the bottom of it for me. Just goes to show that you can't always count on the "man" to get it right, he was too lazy to actually check the part number for me. I would have been p!ssed if I had driven all the way there for the wrong items.

Y'all were lucky to jump on it when you did, because it sure is dead now...

The 12 peice I linked to is still only $69 and has both metric and standard.
