Yeah, it's been known forever that women mature (and age...sorry) faster than men.

It makes sense that a man and woman would, on average, bring better chance of marital happiness if they are on the same level.

The age part sounds about right to me. My Dad was five years older than my Mom, my brother is five years older than his wife, I noticed a while back that all my recent women have been 4~6 years younger.
