hmm i think they are trying to tell you nicely to pack up and leave....the MIL is moving in!

we rarely lock the doors during the day. but since we had the neighbors from hell live next door for a year we got in the habit of locking them at night.

To late she is already in. One of the reasons we did a 1000sq/ft add on so she can have her own room and bathroom.

But we get free childcare out of it so we still come out ahead. Minus the locking out problem. :hmm:

i also leave my keys in my car and dont lock it either

i love living in the boonies

Used to do that when I lived up north in the mountains of West by God Virginia. Cars unlocked, keys in them, usually windows down too (unless it was snowing/raining). House was never locked, either.

Down here in Texas, we have a pretty nice neighborhood, people leave their garages open, lawnmowers/weedeaters and such out. Cars are usually locked, but I think it's mainly habit of just pushing the button on the remote.

I dont think it is any more dangerous today then it was in the past. People are fear mongered into thinking some pedobear is on every corner eyeing their children. The news outlets are 24x7 nowadays spewing nothing but fear that doesnt really exist. Sure bad things happen but not to the extent they try to make it seem. People have turned into pussies to be honest. Scared of every little thing the news tells you to be scared of. It's sad really.
