I just completed Crackdown on the X360 (completed as in, wiped out the last of the gangs). I then noticed that with no gangs left, I can't complete all the side items including achievements, etc. Is that correct? Or is there still some place where I can kill people and not get penalized and still pull off achievements?

If I start a new game... I'm guessing it overwrites my old game correct? So if I do that, will I have to re-do all the achievements I've already completed?

I don't remember off-hand where the option is, but you can turn on gangs/crime after you beat it so you can get the other achievements. Maybe when you select your game mode, there is crime on/off options.

Yeah, its at the main menu when you goto start up your game. You can hit right on the controller and it'll switch what is going to happen when you start it up.

I think you might need to download the free DLC to enable that option.

Really? I thought it was a title update. I don't remember though, and I cant check... I traded Crackdown in after I got as much as I thought I was gonna get out of it. I found all the normal orbs, but not all the hidden ones and didnt bother with any of the DLC achievements. I really want a sequel to crackdown.

Oh, maybe you're right. I just remember reading that it wasn't in the original game.

I want a sequel to Crackdown too, but supposedly it's not going to happen. :(

It won't erase your achievements if you start a new game (for any game) even though you don't need to. Once you get gamerscore points for an achievement it won't go away. You can delete your saved games but will still have those achievements unlocked. They're a separate entity to the saved games.

Thanks for the replies. You were right... I found the option to re-instate the gangs, and it was in my existing copy of the game. I don't have any DLC. Thanks for the help!

You should get the free DLC anyway. ;)
