Hey, maybe it is not necessary a hot deal, but if you have too much time on your hands and can break the code you'll get a FREE Ferrari 360 Challenge!! Now that is HOT!!! Good luck!
Ok i just installed linux so this should be a breeze. Step one will be to boot to linux, step two is call russia and see if they have any hackers in prison that i could talk to.
<< Utilizing a combination of Virtual Matrices and a 1,048,576 bit symmetric key, VME is impervious to brute force attacks. >>
No, not correct....just takes longer than other encryption keys..... hate statements like this :| >>
Hmm... From their web page:
One can argue that one day in far future, even a million bit will be broken - we agree.
Why do we keep pronounce VME is unbreakable, very simple:
When a transmission of conventional algorithm is sent, it includes an encrypted form of the actual data. Given that a hacker have enough computing power and time, any message can be deciphered. With the VME engine the case is different; the actual data is never transferred. Therefore, when intercepted by a hacker, the results will yield absolutely nothing.
I tried to read more about it, but I don't know much about cryptography, so I can't say much about this, other than they have some grammatical errors. It sounds interesting though... but so where is the data stored, or when is it transferred? Can some crypto experts explain a bit about how this works, or comment on the validity of their statement that their encryption technology is "unbreakable?"
If anyone wants to seriously work on this, I've got ready access to a large cluster computer of about 200 processors. If we can develop a distributed decryption scheme, I'd be all for it. The cluster is realitively unused, so we could get a lot of time on it. PM or e-mail me if you are interested.
our overclocked computers can handle it. with a combined default speed of 2,873,369 Ghz overclocked to 4,287,872Ghz, that ferrari will be ours and we will use it as a GIANT HEATSINK!!!!!!!
Is this for real? What's the point of having encryption when you never send the data anyways? And if the contest only goes until august they sure as hell won't have anyone cracking their "uncrackable" algorithm... there simply isn't enough time. I'll bet the Ferrari doesn't exist.
the only reason i would consider doing this is if you were gonna buy a ferrari in the first place, other than that dont waste your time "cracking" cuz you'll go bald before u even get close
