Crack appeared in windshield.

"Safelite" comes to mind, but I wonder if there are other competing services I should consider. Thoughts?

Whoever your insurance company recommends. Demand an OEM windshield.

Just as a fair warning, safelite replaced my accords windshield and the entire right side was left unsealed. I just filled it with Walmart window sealant though

I had my windshield replaced at safelight and haven't had any issues.
