The new V6 rav 4 is way better than the V6 in the Crv
^^ obviously a nub, there is no v6 in the CR-V. so what are you comparing it to?
OP, ever wonder why the cr-v outsells every other compact SUV in the market by a huge margin?????????
Higher sales don't prove that it's a better product. Subaru sells many fewer Foresters than Honda sells CR-Vs, but that doesn't mean that the CR-V is leaps and bounds better than the Forester. I'd actually give the nod to the Forester, but I'd have to test drive them back to back to get a better comparison.
We see this with other vehicles as well. For example, the Pontiac G8 didn't sell very well even though it's a great vehicle for the price. We see this with a lot of American cars. The Fusion would likely sell much better if it had the words "Honda Accord" on it.
orly, wheres the numbers that show it comparing it to its competitive market? your OPINION doesn't really matter here.
the cr-v is among the BEST selling SUV's in the market. isn't that what subaru is trying to do w/ the forester or any vehicle): sell as many as they could? well if that is their goal, then they're losing to honda in the compact-suv market.

Of course, you must be right! Whatever sells the most products in its given market is automatically the best product. I guess that means that Vizio produces the best LCD TVs (
source). I'm going to go amend all my posts in the AV forums and change all my recommendations for people to buy Vizio LCDs. If they sell the most LCD TVs, then they ABSOLUTELY MUST be producing the BEST TVs.
I think that everyone in this thread other than LOUISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS realizes that number of sales do not prove the worth of a product.
Edit: And anyone who knows anything about business knows that the goal of every business is not to sell the most products; it's to make the most profit. These are not one and the same. If they were, then GM and Chrysler would be doing WAY, WAY better than Subaru right now, but obviously that's not the case.
