CPU wont start?!?!

Hey guys i have a new DFI motherboard with an P4 3.0Ghz H/T and a Geforce 6600 video card and 160gb HD.. When I boot it shows the video card name ect.. then a pentium 4 logo shows up then my CPU restarts and does it over and over! Then I tried switching the little cover to clear the CMOS and now NOTHING shows up on the screen!! someone please help..

No beeps, 512 Mb Mem (Brand)? 160 gb HD (Brand)? P4 3.0 Ghz Geforce 6600 and the DFI board not sure what model.. But they are all compatible with eachother.. This is my friends Comp thats why im not sure on the brands or model!
