CPU vs maximum

Im looking to get either subscription for atleast a year so i can have sumthing to read when im in the restroom. Which one is better?

i somehow have a free subscription to it and remember seeing his article and thinking it was pretty cool.

i actually like the magazine.

I don't think it matters for casual toilet reading. Although if you shout out the name of the magazine, getting "Maximum" might help you go faster.

Though you can go the high tech route and read ATOT on the can, using a smartphone.

Agreed. Even though Anand writes for CPU I gave it up a long time ago. This place has all the good info.

I really like CPU. It has neat articles and reviews on tech that I don't ever hear about here or on other tech sites. It also has some neat tips and tweaks in the relevant section. They have this new article called "Open Sores" that's a monthly intro to different areas and uses for Linux that I've really enjoyed.

Couple all that with the nostalgic writings of Barry Brenesal and you've got one great magazine!

CPU is more in depth and technical usually where Maximum PC is more easy reading if you're new to that kind of stuff.

I always preferred CPU but there was a point and time where I had subs to both.

Now I just read the intrawebs for my tech fix and live it as a sys admin, which basically makes me almost hot the stuff at times.
