I noticed this after the install and I thought....wt*!!

I thought the demo looked nice and all, but I can't have this...so I've since removed 3DMark2001, but CPU usage is still @ 10% after clean boot. I checked the processes tab in task manager and I see nothing that's causing this. How do I completely remove 3DMark2001? Also, anyone else getting the same problem?

edit:

btw, OS is Windows 2000 Pro

xtreme2k, that's the problem, I have no idea.

See, when I check the processes tab in task manager, it shows nothing is using the cpu. However, when I flip over to performances tab, it shows that the cpu is used at 10% constantly.

I don't have a site to host the screen shots. The 19 processes that always run, are still there. None of them are using the CPU.

I'm downloading taskinfo now

Ok, I'm running taskinfo2000 and it shows that Interrupts Time process is the culprit. What is it? upon expanding this process, the state of the process is "unknown." Hmm....shouldn't it be "running?"

edit: also, the percentange is not constant for this particular process.

Nope, I made sure nothing is active before I made the information capture.

A friend of mine suggests that I may have a BO trogan....I hope not! How do I find out?

It should

Also, you MIGHt wana try use ZoneAlarm as well since if the trojan is 'active' it will request access to the internet and you will be able to see it and block it in ZA.
