Is going from a xp2700 to a xp3200 64 a big jump in performance, Im thinking about building a new system and not sure if the 2700 still has a little more life

It's a 64. Yeah, there will be a BIG performance increase. It's just not an upgrade without an AMD64

It depends,do you feel that your 2700XP is not cutting it for your needs?But regardless there will be a performance increase.
