CPU Upgrade Flash Bios

Wildcat66

Will be installing a new cpu in existing mb.
MSI has the upgrade for the bios.
Dumb question.
What is the correct sequence for the upgrade?
The flash is to make the cpu compatable with the mb.
So would it be correct to flash the bios first, then remove the old cpu and install the new?

Thanks for your help.

Flash with the old CPU installed. Otherwise, you might have issues trying to do the BIOS update.

It's always best to remove any overclock settings first, and flash from outside of windows if possible.
